My name is Thomas J. Stock. Most people call me Tom.
Thank you for visiting my website! I have much to offer anyone
looking for a software or web developer. I am a graduate of
Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in Computer
Science. My most recent experience was as a web applications
developer for the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo,
Utah. While there I developed intranet applications to increase
the productivity of the teachers and students at the MTC, saving
time and money for the MTC staff. I am skilled in many web technologies,
most notably Java and JSP in a Struts environment, Adobe Flex,
and PHP. Please see my resume page for more on my technical skills.
In addition to my passion for software I enjoy graphic design,
which lends itself well to my web development skills. My knowledge
of web layout design with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and my inherent
eye for design allow me design easy-to-use and intuitive web
pages. Take a look at my web
and print design pages to see examples
of my work.
I also have a passion for photography and video editing, which
saves a bundle on family portraits. Little by little I am building
up my own "Stock" photo collection because I just never know
when I may need a picture of
fall
leaves and ice crystals or a
hula-hooping deer.
If I ever do, I'll be ready. Check out my
photo gallery for some of my other favorites.
My interests range beyond the computer out into the beautiful outdoors.
I love hiking and have made notable climbs up Mt. Adams and
Mt. St. Helens in Washington. I also enjoy biking, camping,
wakeboarding, and snowboarding. Next I would like to buy a kayak,
or take up surfing.
So that's a bit about me. I hope you enjoy looking through my
portfolio, and have a great day!
